I graduated as a tailor and stylist from the Helsinki Vocational College of Service Industries in 2009, and have worked in two established tailoring ateliers in Helsinki throughout my career.
In 2021, I founded Ompelimo Helsinki, which today serves as my own atelier – a place where every garment is treated with care, craftsmanship and respect for each client's individual wishes.
I specialise in clothing alterations and repairs.My work combines technical expertise, an understanding of garment fit, and respect for the original character of each piece. My goal is to ensure that every garment feels right, lasts longer, and continues to serve its wearer for years to come.
Ompelimo Helsinki is an atelier where traditional craftsmanship, experience and meticulous attention to detail are reflected in every piece of work.

We live in an era of fast fashion. The life cycle of clothing has dramatically shortened and continues to shorten. Many of the clothes we buy remain unused and one of the main reasons for this is that they don’t fit on our bodies. Ready-made garments are designed with a specific body type in mind. Due to this, they often have slightly too long sleeves or legs, the wrong length of the back or looseness / tightness on the shoulders or waist, for example.
WE SOLVE THESE CHALLENGES BY PROVIDING QUALITY REPAIR AND MODIFICATION TO MAKE YOUR CLOTHES SUITABLE.
We have a long experience in designing and sewing. The reason we love the industry is due to the joy of solving the above-mentioned challenges.
